Why does FOX NEWS put their brightest people on their business channel which most people don't get?

That FOX Business channel features John Stossel, who was the only voice in the mainstream network news media to put forth a different point of view, and Dave Ramsey who’s financial plan got tens of thousands of families out of debt; yet they put them on the sister station which is not on most people’s basic cable package. Yet, they put comic DJ Glenn Beck on their news mothership, along with college dropout Sean Hannity.

The Fox News channel is not on the basic package for the majority of cable companies.

    The Fox Network is.

Plus, Fox, doesn’t determine what level of a cable package thier shows are on, the cable companies do.

For most US households, if you get Fox News, then you also get the Fox business channel.

"NBC does that too" like the mad money guy — lol — he is the biggest goon I have ever seen in my life — anybody who supports capitalism on the way up and socialism on the way down has a serious lack of understanding of the economy

I never even knew FOX had a money channel — it is not on DISH

  4. Totalitarianism Sucks says:

NBC does the same thing too. They put the smartest ones on CNBC and all the entertainers go on MSNBC.

  5. Tricky Republican Dick says:

They don’t need bright people to feed the followers of Rush a pack of lies.

  6. Proud Texan says:

The few people who watch Fox who are intelligent enough to understand business don’t want to see the typical racist Fox morons.

Its a pity that you can only manage to see people as who they were in the past, never giving them a chance to be thought of as any more than they had been at one time.

So you will pressure your cable company or satellite provider to carry it.

Heck, it took 7 years to get the cable company in my city to carry Fox News. They carried all the others but refused to carry Fox News. Company still doesn’t carry Fox Business but they carry those other business channels.

That seems incorrect at least as far as I have witnessed, in the 3 major markets I have been in recently, Columbus, Oh; Philadelphia, PA; Albany, Ny and also my current cable/internet provider they put Fox Business on their digital package, if they have it at all and you have to pay for a digital box and like 3-5 bucks for the package that contains Fox Business. I have the full digital service High Def and all that crap, but Fox News is on either basic or expanded basic, at least where I have been and Fox Business is not. I don’t know about satellite programs b/c the service and price I get, Less than $150 for all movie channels and 10meg internet so I am staying with the cable

@ SurfingTheWaterBoard I remember when that wrestler smacked the living shite out of Stossel I was 3 or 4 maybe and thought that was hilarious, I also thought it was part of the wrestling act until I saw it on the news with my Dad.

The original question is easy, the Fox Business network is an actual information channel and, although I like alot of Fox News programming it is targeted at a conservative and maybe libertarian audience. They do have several hours per day of just basically news which is not too opinionated, but then there is Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly et al. So their brightest are naturally more fit to provide their strength to FBN and the Talking Heads on the opinionated shows at all the cable news networks, CNN, MSNBC, FOX are more fit to argue their opinions and political views so they can cater to their target audiences.
